Cooking with Nathan

Anytime I have one of my sweet boys' in the kitchen with me is a good thing! What's even better and just warmed my heart was that Nathan (my 10 yr old) asked me to make oatmeal raisin cookies for him, and he wanted to help me!! I held myself together and tried not to feel faint, LOL! It's been so long since he has helped me in the kitchen, I mean that he actually brought the subject up. Anyway, it was very special to me and he'll never know how much it meant to me for him to "want" to bake with me once again.
I thought about taking pictures of the process, but just wanted it to be as wonderful as it could be, so I didn't :) I did manage to snap an after picture though. I will post that tomorrow with the recipe.

I also fixed homemade croutons. Nicholas and Evan gobbled them up. They were made out of whole wheat bread hills. We had lasagna and a fresh salad with the croutons, they were very good!

Kroger has their green beans on sale for $.69/lb! So guess what's on the menu for dinner tomorrow?? yes, fresh green beans! now need to figure out what kind of chicken to fix with it.

I also promised Nicholas pizza and I guess I'll need to do that for lunch. Will try and do a tutorial this week. It's very time consuming and with 4 kids' free time is something I'm short of :)
